Vandergriff Hyundai in Tyler, Texas - Why make appointment?

I called Vandergriff Hyundai to make a service appointment. I answered many questions--more than you usually have to answer for this purpose.

I called back the next day to confirm--there was no record of my appointment. The receptionist took my information, and assured me that I had an appointment. When I brought the car in, I could immediately tell they didn't believe me when I said I had appointment. That was at 8:30 this morning, and I was given a 2 hour wait time.

Here it is 4:30 p.m., and I have not gotten a call from my service advisor, nor has he been reachable by the number on the business card he gave me. I also wrote Vandergriff Hyundai after the second phone call, and asked them if they showed me having an appointment. I got a response from Victor saying something to the effect of "the car I was looking for was not available right now" (I haven't even looked at a car there, and won't be) but no confirmation about my service appointment.

I'm always glad when I have service done at a dealership BEFORE I buy there!

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.

I didn't like: Service department.
